Jones BIRM m" on the lockplate. It has a huge bore. 1-1/8". A very strange contraption that was used in the late 1700's into the early 1800's supposedly for use against poachers around their traps and also for grave robbers. The grave robbing part would work pretty good since once you dug down to the gun and tripped the wire you would get shot and fall in the hole. They would just have to cover it up again. The cond is actually VG. The flintlock parts all there. A bit sluggish and may need tuning. The frizzen and pan do move. The hammer and activation is a little sluggish but does work. If you are looking for the odd and bizarre this would fit the bill!! Leroy Merz Antique Firearms specializes in antique and vintage Winchesters and other fine American firearms.
