Chris Reeve Mountaineer II Hollow handle survival model with extremely rare survival kit inside the handle : One small stainless steel tweezers and a unique three-piece small Malboro Switzerland-Made pocket survival knife with one small spear point blade, a nail file, along with a scissor. Survival-related items find in Reeve's handles are extremely scarce and rarely seen. This particular model is in an immaculate, pristine, brand new condition with absolutely no scuff marks and/or scratches on the butt cap. Two small wax-cotton pieces can be observed at bottom of handle which I did not try to remove and handle. Exceptional knife from an exceptional maker. Knife bears  MADE IN U.S.A. markings. Thumb notches in top of blade that is 5-5/8" in length is also in an pristine condition with absolutely no marks on it. The black leather scabbard exhibits a superb pristine condition with no marking of any sort and as with the knife is in immaculate condition.  The scarcity of this unique model is based not only on the supreme condition of knife and scabbard but also due in part that items were originally placed inside the hollow handle as the knife was sold as such from the maker.
