Arisaka Type 99 rifle, caliber 7.7. This is a typical “short” 44” rifle, but quite complete and desirable World War II Japanese military rifle. The desirability comes from the completely intact Chrysanthemum on the receiver and the very good overall condition. Bore is shootable, gun is mechanically sound and cosmetically good. The characters in front of and behind the serial number indicate a “Series 25” and “Kokura Arsenal”; manufactured between 1939-1945.
