Description:
This very fancy Browning BLR rifle was one of a limited run of 500 rifles for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation in 2001.  It is unfired and has spent it's entire life in storage.  Unfortunately there were some humidity issues that caused some very minor surface rust, mainly on the barrel, that takes the rating down to 97 to 98% rather than being a mint condition gun.  As you can see from the pictures though, these tiny little spots do not detract much at all from the extremely clean and attractive look of this 7mm Remington Magnum rifle.  The Browning BLR lever action repeating rifle is a superb design that is extremely well made, reliable, accurate, and attractive.  The BLR uses a slick and fast lever-action design to operate the fluted 6-locking lug bolt paired with a detachable 3-round box magazine for fast and accurate follow-up shots.  This special edition Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation BLR features a drilled and tapped engraved and silvered receiver with gold accents, a high-gloss blued 24" inch octagon barrel with adjustable iron sights, and a gloss finished checkered deluxe Walnut stock set with a factory-installed recoil pad.  This rifle is number 412 of 500 made.  The gloss blue finish on the barrel, lever, and hammer is still bright and beautiful, and only under extremely close inspection can one see some tiny speckles scattered on the lever and barrel.  The bore in this rifle is pristine.  There is no pitting, erosion, or evidence of this rifle ever having been fired.  The rifling still looks brand-new with nice sharp lands and grooves.  The engraved and silvered receiver is like-new and perfect.  There are scratches, wear, or handling marks visible.  The deluxe Walnut stock set is equally as minty as the receiver, in like-new condition.  The checkered panels are still clean and crisp with no wear, and the gloss clearcoat finish is 100% intact.  The stock has a special Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation inlay in the bottom of the pistol grip from the factory which is intact and in perfect condition.  The factory-installed recoil pad was perfectly fit to the butt, and is perfectly tight to the wood.  All of the controls on this rifle are in perfect working order.  This 7mm Remington Magnum rifle has pristine internals and should function 100% like the day it left the Browning Miroku factory in Japan.  This special BLR comes with the original box and manual, however, the box has water damage and the end label is only partially legible.  If you have been looking for a magnum power rifle for your collection that is truly a showpiece, this beautiful 1 of 500 Browning BLR would be a great choice.
