This is a 1968 Colt Government model .45 with Original numbered box and the large folded Colt brochure and wax paper filler. The Factory letter for this piece is very interesting and unuasual. It was sent to the U.S, Navy ship U.S.S. Long Beach San Francisco Ca.
to the rod and gun club on this ship. ATTn.L W..J.Watson. july 1968. Evidently some Navy ships had Rod and Gun Clubs on their ships. Any way , I recearched the ship a little .Its was the first Nuclear cruiser with missiles. . The gun is in high condition 98 % . the finish is very nice with only a dummy mark and a very few tiny scratches around 2 pins. no front or rear strap wear. the bore is minty and the gun appears to not have been shot much at all. High condition , Original numbered box and contents grips are like new. With a very interesting Factory letter sent to a U.S. Navy ship in 1968. Call with any questions. Tom 612 859 5673
