BFY 41 Mauser P08 Luger 9mm caliber pistol. BYF (Mauser code) 41 over chamber “KU” on frame by serial number. Bore is excellent. All proofs are proper as per Kenyons book Lugers At Random. Barrel has correct proofs for “KU” pistol but has no serial number. Bore is excellent. Gun has 97-98% blue. Magazine is an extruded FXO magazine. Kenyon comments on two lines of thought regarding the “KU” mark. The first is that this is a Mauser contract for military sale to the German Coastal Flying Service (Kustenflie-Gerstafflen). Another opinion is that these pistols were assembled by Mauser and finished by Krieghoff to help Krieghoff maintain its military commitment to the Luftwaffe. Note: This pistol came to us with Krieghoff grips. Kenyon notes that the grips should be checkered walnut.
