Used. N.J. Armory cartouche; knurled, headless cocking piece. Has U.S. inspector marking "JSA 1899". This signifies that Foreman Joseph Sumner Adams inspected this rifle in 1899. Rifle Features 1901 Rear Sight. There is a Circle P marking signifying arsenal upgrade on the underside of the stock wrist.
