Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector 4th Model Target. Pre Model 24. A beautiful revolver with rare 4in barrel and bright blue finish. Smooth Goncalo grips. All matching numbers, cylinder, yoke and frame. 5,050 units made from 1950 to 1956 and 4in barrel and bright blue finsh was scarce. Most were 6 1/2 in matt finish. Reintroduced in 1967 as the model 24. An example can be seen in Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson 4th edition by Jim Supica and Richard Nahas on page 189. N frame 5 screw. With letter. Shipped August 11, 1954 to Rex Firearms in New York City. Picyures do not do the bright blue finish on this gun justice. There is a scratch on the bottom of left grip. and some very faint barrel wear. A rare handgun. Plesae inspect pictures carefully and request additional pictures or as questions. 3 day inspection with buyer paying return shipping. Will ship to your FFL after funds clear.
