Description:
REDUCED. This is a stunning John Rigby & Co. framed cartridge display sourced in England. Listed below are the 28 cartridges that are fixed to a dark green background and neatly arranged around the Rigby label which refers to both the 72 St. James St. in London and the 24 Suffolk St. in Dublin addresses. It’s close to 24” square. John Rigby & Co is printed in black on the top face of the frame, and London appears on the bottom. Under each cartridge is a number depicting the muzzle velocity of each in fps. The cartridge heads carry various maker stamps – from Rigby, to Kynoch, to Bell and others. The .577 is the largest, and I believe these to be all the calibers that Rigby built for its rifles.
It’s in immaculate condition, including the label and dust preventative brown paper on the back. It contains a label on the back presumably noting the producer for Rigby, Alister MacKenzie.
