Description:
Remington Model 32 F GRADE O/U
4 BARREL SKEET SET, RUNGE ENGRAVED, RARE!

General Specs: Remington, Year 1936, 12 Gauge, 7lbs 14oz 12ga; 7lbs 13oz 20ga; 7lbs 9oz 28ga; 7lbs 9oz .410ga, Over Under
Serial Number: 3915

The Remington Model 32 Over/Under was a brutishly strong gun well ahead of its time when introduced in 1932.  It was a relatively short production run ending in the mid-1940’s with only 5000 guns produced.  The Remington Model 32 made the Field and Stream magazine’s “TOP 5O GUNS EVER MADE” list.  Many do not realize that the Model 32 design was sold to and used by Krieghoff in its popular K-80 action.  That’s right.  Look at the locking mechanism and action design---K-80 is a copy of the Model 32 with the inevitable improvements time provides.  Interestingly, Remington never made a Model 32 in a 4-gauge Skeet set, or in any other gauge than 12ga.  This fantastic Model 32, sn3915 made in 1936, is one of less than 20 or so Model 32s that you will ever see that is a true Skeet set with Remington made barrels in 12, 20, 28, and .410 ga..  As you can see, it is also Remington’s highest grade of engraving, F Grade with gold, engraved and signed by Remington’s chief engraver, Robert Runge Jr..  “How did this come to be?” you might ask.  You will notice in the included letter of authentication signed by Larry “Babe” Del Grego Jr., this gun was upgraded in the Larry Del Grego & Sons shop by all Remington employees utilizing all Remington factory original parts.  This is as close to a Remington factory original gun as you can get without it being produced on Remington ledgers.  Larry Del Grego Sr. was an employee at Remington Arms working on Parkers and Remington Model 32’s.  He left Remington and set up shop and became the Remington warranty and repair center for Parker shotguns and Remington 32’s.  Remington arranged that Del Grego would have all of the remaining inventory of parts for Model 32’s and Parker shotguns to do the repair and warranty work.  Beginning in 1958 Larry “Babe” Del Grego Jr. apprenticed under his father’s tutelage, as well as that of Frank Fama, Walter Nalezny, Samuel Kencharek, and Robert Runge Jr., all ex-Parker/Remington senior craftsman and employees.  In Babe Del Grego’s attached letter, he exclaims the gun to be a factory original Remington Model 32 F Grade in every way, created by the best of the Remington Custom Shop.  As you can see in the photos, the gun is a work of art in every way, with exceptional banknote scroll engraving, highly detailed raised gold birds and dogs, stippled background…even the trigger guard and barrels are engraved to perfection, the barrels on both muzzle and breech ends.  The gun is a VFI CERTIFIED GUN, mechanically excellent, the action and forend iron having been stripped to the smallest part, cleaned in the Ultrasonic cleaner, inspected for integrity and function, lubricated and reassembled.  VFI CERTIFIED GUNS have a 90-day mechanical warranty.  Where else will you ever see that on an 82-year-old gun?  This gun is set up ideally for serious skeet shooting at 4-gauge events, so you can utilize the same gun for all gauges.  The history and artful nature of this gun makes it a grand investment vehicle for your hard-earned money, and one that you can have fun owning and shooting all the while being a tangible asset that will continue to gain value as you enjoy its use.  Cased in a new Negrini premium case.  Thanks for looking!
