The Colt Automatic .25 ACP pocket pistol was manufactured from 1958 until 1973. Initially called the "Junior" by Colt from 1958 until 1970, the "Junior" name was dropped by Colt and the pistol was simply called the "Colt Automatic Caliber .25" from 1970 until the end of production in 1973. This example is from the last year of production in 1973 and is serial number "OD92478". This pistol comes in an original box (appears to be renumbered) with an original factory owner's manual, warranty card (not filled out), and even the original Colt logo tissue paper the pistol was wrapped in when initially shipped from the factory. This Colt has been fired/carried but is in very good all-original condition. As you can see in the pictures provided, the factory blue finish looks great and rates 93 to 94% with just a little high-edge wear and a few tiny handling marks. The bore in this Colt is excellent, with no pitting, erosion, or visible imperfections. The original checkered Walnut factory grips are in excellent condition as well with nice clean checkering and silver Rampant Colt medallions, with no cracks, repairs, or major damage/wear. All of the controls on this .25 ACP Automatic are in perfect working order and the slide is nice and tight on the frame with no excessive play in it. Mechanically this little Colt is like-new. As with most vintage Colt handguns, these little pocket pistols are getting harder and harder to find as more and more are being placed in long-term collections. If you have been looking for a nice all-original example for your collection this last-year-of-production model would be a great choice.
