Description:
World War Two production Victory Model revolver by Smith & Wesson. This is an earlier model in caliber .38/200 or .38 S & W (not the .38 Special version that was produced later). This one, made about 1942, was part of the Lend-Lease program with Britian, and is marked US Property with British proof marks.
The Victory Model has a four inch barrel and holds six rounds. It has a parkerzied finish, checkered hammer and serrated trigger, round blade front and notched rear sights, smooth walnut grips and lanyard ring.
The gun is marked on the top strap with a flaming bomb and "U.S. PROPERTY G.H.D". It is marked "MADE IN THE U.S.A." on the right side of the frame. The serial number appears on the bottom of the grip frame, as well as on the cylinder, inside the cylinder extractor star, and underneath the barrel (see photos). British proof marks, a crown with "BNP" underneath, appear on the outside of the cylinder (6 times, one for each chamber), as well as the bottom of the frame in front of the trigger guard and underneath the barrel. It is also stamped "-38 -767", "3 1/2 TONS". (see photos).
This revolver is in very good condition. The parkerized finish shows some wear and light scratches, no pitting. Bore is mirror bright. Action is smooth, lockup tight. Grips have some dings but no cracks or chips. Grips are numbered to the gun.

-Firearms ship insured to FFLs and require signatures for delivery. Items usually ship 1 to 2 business days after payment clears and FFL information is received.
-No Local Pickup. We are an internet only dealer and do not offer in store pickup.
RETURNS
-Used Firearms: 3 day inspection policy. Item may be returned if in same condition as when it left our facility. Returns are subject to a $35.00 restocking fee. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges (must include insurance and signature requirement) and any transfer fees.
-In the event of shipping damage please contact us for a return authorization number.
