FN bolt action Sporter chambered in the ever popular .30-06. This is a classic commercial Mauser style, long extractor action made by FN in Belgium which was the predecessor to the Belgian Browning rifles…even the checkering border is the same as the later Brownings! This rifle was originally fitted with a Lyman front sight and a Lyman receiver sight then a Griffin and Howe quick detachable scope mount was fitted to the rifle and equipped with a Leupold Vari X III 1.5-5x20 duplex reticle scope. The stock has a fairly standard LOP of 13 ¼” over a professionally fitted 1” Pachmayr Decelerator Presentation recoil pad. The rifle with scope weighs 9 lbs. 7 oz. The trigger breaks crisply at 2 ¼ lbs. Mechanically perfect this rifle retains some 95% original finishes.
