Burnside 5th Model Civil War Carbine in excellent condition with bright case colors. Case colors on the butt plate have been restored. All the rest of the case colors are original. Barrel has all of the original blue. Wood is excellent. Fantastic Burnside carbine! As a bonus I am including a fantastic book covering the Burnside carbine. This book goes into great detail regarding the history of the Burnside – from the prototype offering through the fifth generation model which is the one I have listed here. It even provides instructions for manufacturing rounds from readily available components (i.e., casings, bullets, powder varieties, etc.).
