Manufactured prior to World War 2 in 1933, this Colt New Service DA/SA revolver has a 4.5" inch barrel and is chambered in .44-40 Caliber. This very attractive Colt has been professionally restored and is now in 99% as-refinished condition. The bore in this New Service is minty and bright, with nice sharp lands and grooves in the rifling. The cylinder bores are equally as clean. The action is extremely smooth and precise, it has to be felt to truly be appreciated. The cylinder locks up nice and tight; at full lock with the trigger depressed there is zero play in it. This is a very attractive Colt New Service that would make an excellent shooter.
