Description:
The 5mm Rimfire Magnum cartridge was an idea ahead of it's time. Now-a-days there are all sorts of rimfire magnums outside of the standard .22, but this Remington Model 592 rifle came out in 1970, never really caught on, and was discontinued in 4 short years. The Remington Model 592 was a tube-fed bolt-action repeater with a 24" inch barrel with factory iron sights. The receiver is not factory drilled and tapped but rather grooved for tip-off style scope mounts. This example is in excellent all-original condition with 98% of the factory blue finish remaining and a perfect minty bore. The original Walnut stock has a few minor handling/storage marks in it but nothing major, and is free from any cracks, chips, or repairs. The Remington-branded buttplate and special Remington pistol grip cap are still in place and in excellent condition. All of the controls and functions of this rifle are in 100% perfect working order. This rifle has likely been fired a handful of times at the very most. We have only a partial box of vintage ammo available, but newly manufactured ammo is available for order online elsewhere. If you have been looking for a nice clean un-molested original example of this scarce rifle, here is your chance to get a really nice one.
