Description:
*Reduced* Great original gloss charcoal blue on the metal and intact varnish wood finish. 26" Octagon barrel has a beautiful, crisp clean shiny bore and rifling. We rate the lever case colors high as 90% especially for 115 years old, and there's still a good amount of protective varnish remaining. Brass butt plate is the first we've seen on a 99, but it looks like it grew there from the factory. Factory upgrade barrel sights are Lyman #6 rear, #5 combination front, with intact ivory bead. Has the optional Lyman #1 combination tang sight, retaining excellent charcoal blue finish. Has london proof nitro marks, and factory letter from 2018 indicatng this was shipped in 1904 to the "South British Tea Company." A refreshingly nice early example of the 1899B rifle, this would make a wonderful addition to any collector's stable. Ser# 494xx Email or call for more info.
