Description:
This is a Savage 1895 That was built by Marlin only about 7000 were made , The finish on this gun is all original and it has not been refinished but there are a few issues, blueing on the barrel is good ,not much on the action and the bore is bright with good lands and grooves ,there is some light pitting but no dark spots and it look like when someone cleaned the bore ages ago they scratched the rifling lands about half way down the bore, does not effect anything and its accurate, the receiver has been drilled and tapped on top . The stock had a tang sight screwed on it at one time and the toe has a repair and there are some cracks but the stock is sound tight and not loose. I've hunted with the gun for years and shot plenty of deer with it, a great rare classic with lots of years left in it, good representative for a collection $50 shipping to ffl or C&R , call or text is best 517 554 9065
