Absolutely one of a kind factory prototype. This gun was brought into my store from an ex-Ruger factory design engineer. While at Ruger, management had came to a decision that they should market the American with a high grade feather grained walnut checkered stock. A design was made and one sample was created. The letter from Ruger will be included stating that the rifle was bought and given to the employee and there is a letter from the employee stating that his team was tasked with making this rifle. Just look at the pictures.
This gun is that sample. Ultimately for reasons unknown management decided against producing it. The engineer did indeed purchase that sample. That makes this beauty the only one in existence. The gun appears to been test fired only. One could say it is factory new. Not a nick, scratch or rub mark anywhere on the gun. The seller has added a Leupold VX 3-9x40mm scope which is also mint condition. All parts are correct, and the gun is pristine and all matching. The bore is awesome, sunshine bright with razor sharp rifling. For the Ruger Collector or investor it's one of a kind.....$1595.
