This is a Colt SAA revolver made in 1896 ,the colt letter identifies it as an original factory engraved gun.Engraver was Cuno Helfricht ,with its 90% floral scrollwork and a punchdot background aceented with various late 19th century motifs.The craftmanship on engraving on the barrel alone is enough to elicit admiration . The scrollwork engraving is of historic value in the colt world.The bore is very clean and shiny, the cyl. locks up very tight ,and timing is colt.This colt also came in a early turn of century belt and hoslster rig.The factory colt letter duplexsits originality, a rare find indeed .
