Extremely Rare E North Flintlock Pistol, London Manufacture, Pre-Revolutionary War made between 1740 and 1760. About 62 caliber with 7.5 inch round barrel and a 13.5 inch overall length. Correct British proofs on side of barrel and marked LONDON on top of barrel. E NORTH is on lock plate. Nice brass finial and interesting brass grip cap - looks like a man with Cape Buffalo horns on his head! Original hickory rod included. Wood shows some nicks and dings with a crack along the bottom. Properly functioning action. Neat piece of Pre-Revolutionary War history that has amazingly survived over 250 years! A Google search turned up only 3 other specimens, all sold at overseas for a lot more than I'm asking for this one.
