Description:
Selling a Winchester Model 62A pump rifle for .22 S, L and LR; 23” round barrel with standard front and rear sights with two piece Winchester box. Gun is serial numbered 288897.
90% dark blue with hint of brown patina on barrel, 80% magazine tube blue, 95% dark solid blue on receiver and top and bottom tang, 90% wood finish, hard rubber Winchester butt plate. Perfect bore.
Includes Winchester two piece brown box. Box has red Winchester markings on top lid: “WINCHESTER – WESTERN DIVISION, OLIN MATHIESON CHEMICAL CORPORATION” which are the markings used from Aug. 31, 1954 to Sept. 1, 1969. Box manufacturers marking on bottom of box: “ATLANTIC A 982”. Has cardboard separator and rust proof paper inside box. Box is in excellent condition.
Box has no end labels and probably made after the gun was made. May be a repair box as the inside cardboard components accommodates the M62A 23 inch barrel and receiver quite nicely.
