MODEL 51 AUTO PISTOL IN SCARCE .32 ACP, #68XXX, MADE 1921-1934. The M-51 hammerless auto pistol was introduced in 1918 in .380 ACP and approximately 54,500 were made in that caliber. In 1921 the .32 ACP version was offered and only approx. 10,200 were made. The .32s were produced in two serial ranges. The first was serial numbered in the range of 60801-70280 and the second and later run was numbered in the range of 90501-92627. This example is an early one from the first production run. Overall condition is superb with this example retaining about all the original factory blue. Markings are all sharp and clear and there is still fire blue on the safety lever. Magazine is marked “32 CAL” on the inside bottom. Truly a superior example of a scarce Remington.
