The standard caliber for this model was the .25-20 with 16,905 being made. Only 4,719 were made in .32-20 and 3293 were made in .44-40. This is a fine example with excellent stock and forearm showing only very light handling and tight wood to metal fit. The receiver is mostly flaked to gray with fine deep blue on the loading gate and excellent screws. The barrel shows even blue that is lightly thinning and has the correct flat top buckhorn with small blade/bead front sight mounted on a small factory ramp. Tight action, excellent markings including the “NICKEL STEEL .32 WCF” stamping on the side of the barrel. Correct original serrated steel butt plate and minty bright bore. Another fine Winchester model of very limited production that fell victim to the Great Depression. Hard to find caliber!
