Description:
A Rare Confederate Holster With a Lead round ball Finial closure. This Confederate holster is a rarity, handmade with its lead round ball closure finial intact. The finial is mounted with two copper washers, one on the inside of the holster and another on the outside. (see photos) Measuring 10 1/2" on the leather fold of the leading edge. The toe of the holster is open. It is made of thin supple and pliable leather, showing its age but still retaining its original sheen.  Most certainly carried during the War of Northern Aggression. I have had my 1851 Navy in it, but it looks to me like it once carried a Griswold & Gunnison or other Confederate revolver. The belt loop on the back is attached with five copper rivets two on the top and three on the bottom. The two outside rivets on the bottom have pulled through the leather, but the loop has not come louse and will display just fine. All the stitches are holding and tight. If you are fortunate to have a Confederate revolver now is the time to add this real deal CONFEDERATE holster to your collection.  We always answer questions and entertain offers.
