Colt 1911A1 MFG 1943 .45 ACP, 5" correct bbl, shiny bore, good rifling, dovetail rear sight, blade front sight, Parkerized finish, Ordnance Department crossed cannons stamp on right side behind grip, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" "M1911A1 US ARMY" stamped on right side, final inspection mark GHD on left side - Brigadier General Guy H. Drewry - Army Inspector of Ordnance 1942-45, mainspring housing is early Colt, Colt wide spur short hammer, Colt magazine is not correct, and Colt grips are correct.
