Description:
A very Handsome "First Model" American. These early Smith & Wessons saw steady use on the New Mexico Territory Frontier. Serial Number 6720's barrel was reduced to 6 3/4" during it's time of use... and an interesting dated coin, replaced the front sight, still retaining good strong complete markings. Mechanically fine (everything works) the finish is a Blue-Brown patina, ALL Matching Assembly numbers, on the frame, back of cylinder, latch, grip and the barrel. Perfect for display with "Old West" artifacts, that is full of character... circa 1870's. A very affordable "old hog-leg" from America’s early days.
