Description:
This is a very neat and interesting Italian-made semi-auto shotgun made by the V. Bernardelli firm that fires 9mm Flobert rimfire shotshells.  The Model CF9 blow-back operated semi-auto shotgun has a blued 24" inch barrel with a bead front sight, an alloy and steel receiver, a 3-round detachable box magazine, and a smooth Walnut pistol grip stock set.  The stock set has factory installed sling swivels and black plastic Bernardelli-branded buttplate with a length of pull of 14.25" inches.  From what information we can find online the Model CF9 is sometimes called a "garden gun" and was meant for pest control, small game hunting, and general plinking.  The ammunition it is chambered in is a brass-cased rimfire shotshell called 9mm Flobert.  These shotshells are 9mm in diameter and 1 & 7/16ths inches in length, and are available in mulitple shot sizes from #9 and up.  This Model CF9 is in very good condition overall, showing only some minor handling marks in the finish, mainly on the black-painted alloy portion of the receiver.  These marks could be easily touched up by the new owner if he or she so chooses.  The 24" inch barrel has a mirror-bright perfect bore.  Both the forearm and buttstock are in excellent shape and free from any cracks, chips, or repairs.  Only under close inspection can one find some tiny handling marks in the wood.  All of the controls on this Bernardelli are in perfect working order and the action seems to function flawlessly, going into battery perfectly.  We have no doubt that this little shotgun will function just as well today as when it was new in the early 1990's.  The Bernardelli firm went out of business in 1997 and there seems to be very few of these guns on the market, leading us to believe that there were only small numbers of these guns imported into the States.  As such, this is a scarce and interesting gun that would certainly be a neat addition to any collection and a blast to shoot!  While the 9mm Flobert ammunition for this gun is still available elsewhere online, we actually have a full case (250 rounds) of Fiocchi #9 shot available, as well as some partial boxes and one box of #6 shot Fiocchi available for an additional cost.
