Here is a one of a kind, classic, and early prewar John Rigby Takedown Mauser Bolt Action Rifle in .275 Rigby (AKA 7x57 or 7MM Mauser). True Takedown. The rifle has a straight stock with round pistolgrip. The stock features quite a nice straight running grain and blank brass escutcheon. The rifle is in overall 98%+ condition. The barrel length is 24". The LOP is 14". Overall length is 44.5". Barrel Band Swivel Base. Action has scope base provisions. Pull forend lever to disengage and screw off the takedown barrel. There are some very light handling marks on the stock. Mauser 98 3 position safety. Metal butt-plate. Sharp checkering. Perfect bore. Two leaf Island rear sight and thin ramp mounted front sight. All matching serial numbers. Barrel says “SIGHTED FOR RIGBY’S SPECIAL HIGH VELOCITY, JOHN RIGBY & CO 43 SACKVILLE ST LONDON W, .275 RIGBY BORE CARTRIDGE.
