Description:
This is a Winchester model 63 in 22LR super speed or super X, with a 23" barrel. This model is exceedingly hard to find in undamaged original condition. The production numbers for these little jewels were quite limited to around 175000 guns over a 26 year span from 1933 to 1959. These guns were built with the highest quality materials, and thus carried a price tag placing them out of reach for a lot of folks. Many were after market drilled and tapped to mount a scope, or used hard and ended up with marks to the side panels of the receiver, or damage to the stocks. This gun is absolutely stone mint, with no imperfections to the finish of the wood or metal. It comes in it's original picture box with all the deviders and paperwork as shipped from the factory in 1948. The gun looks virtually unfired, with traces of cosmoline on the bolt. All the script, proof marks, and S/N are crisp as day one, and the bore is perfect as well. The box is in great shape for 70+ years old, with all the corners intact, and a legible end label with S/N to match the gun. Picture 4 is not a blemish, but a camera reflection to the flat surface of the receiver. It would be nearly impossible to improve upon this little time capsule. $3750 plus $75 S&I to lower 48 by PMO or cashier's check. Will discuss CA, AK, and HI.
