REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE - This is a very interesting custom sporter .22 rifle. It started out as a Mauser Pre-War .22 Single Shot Target Rifle, with a heavy barrel and long dovetail cut for rear sight adjustment. Both the barrel and the receiver bear commercial waffenampt from the Nazi era so we assume the rifle was originally made during the late 1930's. However, someone took this wonderful barreled action and made a very nice custom stock in the American Sporter tradition, and bearing very nice fleur de lis checkering, Neidner style checkered buttplate & grip cap, etc. The name of the stockmaker is unknown at this time as the rifle came to us from an estate and we have not seen any marking to indicate maker, but whomever it was was damn good and right up there with the best of them. Just pay close attention to the photos and you will see what we mean, and we have priced it very reasonably to say the least!
