In 2001 after the September 11th terrorist attack in N.Y.C., the Beretta firm made a special limited-production run of Model 92FS 9mm pistols to help raise money for the families of the victims of the attack. These commemoratives featured all the normal Model 92FS features plus a gold American flag on the left-front of the slide, "United We Stand" in gold letters ahead of the rear sight, and "1 of 2001" in gold letters below the safety. There were only a total of 2001 of these pistols made. This particular example is serial number BER234385 and is in excellent unfired condition. The black finish on this pistol rates 99%, with the only deduction from some tiny handling/storage marks on the slide around the word "United". The actual special gold accents are in perfect like-new condition. There is no finish wear externally or even internally. The bore in this Beretta is in mint condition with perfect new rifling. The original grips are in minty like-new condition as well with no wear or imperfections of any kind. It is obvious that this 92FS has spent it's entire life in storage since it left the factory. It comes complete with the original outer box with an intact serial numbered end-label, the original plastic case, one 10-round factory magazine, the owner's manual, and the warranty card/paperwork. If you have been looking for an investment quality Beretta for your collection, this 1 of 2001 "United We Stand" Model 92FS would be an excellent choice.
