*REDUCED* Colt, U.S. Mdl. 1911 A-1, Cal. .45 ACP, Ser. 11212XX, Mfg. 1943. *REDUCED WOW!!!* What a find this G.I. bring back is. The condition is just wonderful. At a minimum it retains about 97-98+% of the original Colt factory finish. The little loss there is, is from the usual slide rub mark, some slight sharp edge and muzzle silvering and some small areas off light surface rub marks from holster wear. There is no rust, pits or scratches anywhere. The grip strap have no evidence of toning. The serial number indicates the gun was in a small group that had the slide numbered to the gun behind the slide stop. This is indeed numbered to this gun. All parts are proper for the the serial number of the gun. The front of the slide has the two tone heat treat finish that is correct for this period. The left side of the frame has the GHD inspectors stamp. The original barrel is properly marked "Colt .45 Auto". The grips are pristine, no chips, splits or flattened points and are the correct Coltwood #6, large ring type. The slide rails, feed ramp and bolt face have seen little use. The bore is pristine mirror bright and razor sharp with no apparent frost. It comes with one scarce C-S (Colt-Scoville) stamped magazine that are originally shipped with the gun... Besides being a great investment it would enhance any collection and should be a real "honey" at the range. $3495 Shipped.
