These special-run "Mountain Gun" models are really cool revolvers. This is a 2004 manufacture Smith & Wesson Model 57-5 Mountain Gun in .41 Magnum. It features a gloss blue factory finish, a 4" tapered barrel with adjustable sights, and factory combat-style smooth Walnut finger-groove grips. It is a lightly-used gun that remains in excellent condition and comes with the original factory box, with the serial-numbered end label still intact. The high-gloss factory blue finish rates 97% plus, with the only deductions coming from a faint turn-line on the cylinder and just a touch of finish wear on the cylinder face and at the muzzle. As you can see from the pictures provided it is a beautiful gun. The bore is mirror-bright and clean with nice sharp rifling still showing throughout. The cylinder bores are equally as clean. The factory finger groove grips are in excellent condition and free from any cracks, chips, wear, or repairs. The action on this Smith & Wesson is very smooth and perfectly "in time". The cylinder locks up tight and the trigger is very good, particularly in single action operation. If you have been looking for a Mountain Gun for your collection in the sought-after .41 Magnum chambering, this 2004 model would be an excellent choice. It is certainly a "collector grade" gun, and together with it's original box should be an excellent long-term investment.
