Many gun lovers reading this ad regularly scour the internet for good deals on Fox shotguns. One thing for certain; the availability of top quality, graded 20ga. Fox shotguns has dwindled to nearly zero. Shooter/collectors have recognized the Fox 16ga. and 20ga. guns are the most well-balanced, best handling guns of all the vintage American doubles. It is also known that they have the simplest, most reliable actions as well. This amazing Fox, sn203509 produced in 1934, is an awesome find. IT IS ONE OF THE FEW 99% FACTORY ORIGINAL A.H. FOX GUN REMAINING IN EXISTENCE. First, they only made about 2400 A Grade 20ga. Fox guns, less than 1200 with ejectors, and literally a handful can be found in untouched original factory condition. Due to damage, loss, poor restorations, etc. there are only a few hundred genuine, honest, factory correct, high-condition Fox AE 20ga. guns left in the world, and the guys that own them are not likely to be selling them soon. Just look at the untouched condition of this gun! The barrel blue is 99%, the action has 99% factory case color, the trigger guard retains 99% factory charcoal blue, the engraving is crisp and clean, and the screws are near perfect. This Fox has perfect mechanics, excellent bores, and is tight as new on breech face and hinge pin. The factory order card shows the gun “as shipped”; even the chokes and stock dimensions are unaltered since leaving the factory. The pad is not mentioned but is a genuine, vintage Hawkins pad, likely added long ago. It is hard enough to find a decent AE 20ga. nowadays, let alone one weighing 5lbs. 15oz. with the desirable 28” #3 weight barrels in totally unmolested condition. The gun is 85 years old and does have some storage and handling marks, but it is indisputably factory original. The fact that it has been carried afield and fired in its past allows you to enjoy the gun as a very high-condition, shootable upland gun with excellent stock dimensions and near new condition. Don’t let this one escape you. It will be a long time before you even see another Fox AE 20 that is this high condition and offered for sale. It will continue to gain value as you enjoy its carful use, so it is a grand investment tool for your hard-earned funds. It will be an ultimate collector’s treasure. Thanks for looking!
