For so many decades the name " TANAZACQ" associated inextricably with the renowned " TRONCAY 1," whose design is a real art form, has spelled knives to the public that one is hard put to realize that there were indeed other excellent knives in the field. But why have these others failed to strike our imagination in the same way as Tanazacq? Why has Tanazacq become so indissoluble a part of our heritage, our folklore? There is no doubt that the Tanazacq product itself has always been top caliber. But its brisk legend must be atributed to that singular founder of " ARDENNLAME" Jean Tanazacq. This is the knife that forever changed the outcome of the French cutlery in late 70's, when Jean Tanazacq decided to launched his company ARDENNLAME in 1980. Known worldwide by knife users and collectors alike, this model went on to revolutionize the French custom knife industry and propelled him to a successful career. With never-before-seen shape, this model made him take advantage of new techniques with a blade that was both sturdy and extremely sharp. That was the ideal shape hunters had dreamed off for decades. With an unprecedented, unparalleled line's purity, design, and a powerful lanceolate tip, a strong walnut handle with a slightly inclined profile, this knife was a winner from the very beginning. It remains to these days, Tanazacq's best seller. It's the knife to have. It is highly coveted by aficionados, particularly if you can find a specimen that bears JEAN TANAZCAQ across the ricasso and ARDENNLAME 08260 MAUBERT-FONTAINE etched on the blade. The chances to find such original model today are slim to none, unless you can find a collector or knife dealer who has one he can bear to part with it, even then, to be sure, the cost will be extremely high; however, this applies to any knife that bears this particular logo. This unique marking only occurred from 1980 to 1984. (See pictures # 14 and # 15-be prepared to spend a "fortune" if such knife bearing the rare logo were to be offered for sale, among with any other models but more precisely with the TRONCAY 1). SOLD |
