Description:
An excellent overall condition original S&W Model 1917 Revolver is .45 Auto Rim which can also use half or full moon clips to shoot .45 ACP caliber rounds. Revolver is totally original with the exception of some amateur attempt at checkering on the smooth walnut grips (easily replaced even with original GI issue). A bit of holster wear & minor flaking on the barrel - otherwise excellent finish throughout, including nice vibrant case coloring on the hammer and trigger - and an excellent bore and chambers. A really nice revolver which presents itself well.
