Colt Mk IV Series 70 Government 1911 chambered in .45 ACP. This example is serial number 32675G70 and was manufactured in 1977. It has been very lightly used but is in great shape overall and is 100% original. The original factory high gloss blue finish is very clean and only shows a few very minor areas of box wear on the front strap and top of the slide. The sides of the gun are just about perfect, with no "idiot scratch" present. The bore in the 5" barrel is superb. It looks like-new and is bright with sharp rifling. The original checkered Walnut grips with gold Colt medallions are in excellent condition overall. The checkering is still clean looking and there are no cracks or repairs visible, and the grips screws are unmolested. Everything on this Government Model works 100% like the day it left the factory. All of the controls work properly, and the action is smooth and goes into battery perfectly with no play or slop. If you have been looking for a 70 series Government 45 that is nice enough to still be considered an investment, but that you could still take out to shoot, this pistol would be a perfect choice. Included is an original Colt box (end label is missing), paper work, Series 80 Instructions manual, and (1) factory magazine.
