Description:
AH Fox CE Grade 12ga SxS shotgun, dated to 1911. This shotgun was professionally restored by a master gunsmith in MA. Restoration process included reblue, color case harden receiver, dent removal and bore lapping, stock repair (visible in photos but still very well done) buttpad replacement, and general cleaning. All parts are original (except buttpad) and the shotgun is in excellent working order with a tight on-face action, barrels ring nicely, and triggers/firing pins are great. The bores have some VERY shallow pitting still present, however this was left to preserve the inner diameter of the bore as much as possible. This does not effect function or shooting whatsoever (i put a box of Federal bird loads through it after the restoration with no issues). This is a quite a beautiful shotgun and deserves to go to a good home. Please refer to the photos to assess condition. More photos can be added upon request. Offers welcome. C&R OK.
