SOLD- Presented here is a rifle I am very reluctant to let go of. Discontinued some time ago, this is Steyr Mannlicher "Classic American" Half Stock sporting rifle in a very rare 260 Remington caliber. For generations, this Austrian company has made a reputation of putting out some of the most accurate factory rifles ever produced. This rifle has a stunningly gorgeous bluing, akin to the 50's and 60's Colt Pythons. The metal certainly had to be polished brilliantly prior to bluing to produce a finished product such as this. It wears a beautifully grained, gorgeous Bavarian style French Walnut stock with Rosewood grip cap and forend tip in satin finish. The hammered rifling technique leaves a distinctively spiraled 23.6 inch finish barrel that adds a certain touch of elegance to a timeless design and old world style. A detachable rotary magazine, three position tang safety and chrome trigger complete the package. This is a true gentleman's rifle that will put down any animal in North America. Quality that is seldom seen today, this is a flagship for any collection.
