1st Year transition model 1964 (ser # 155XXX A) This gun is a beauty; all blued metal at approx 95% + or - ....Handsome wood with distinctive post 64 "basket weave" checkering has light handling marks but no deep marks, no meaningful flaws, no damage, no touch up and no non factory holes. Collectable cond. but not so pristine that it should not be hunted. These are known to have the accuracy of many decent bolt guns, the convenience of a clip (mag) making it easy to load and unload getting in and out of a truck or camp. Chambered in very desirable mild recoiling but very capable .308 with ammo avail almost anywhere.
