Description:

JEAN TANAZACQ VINTAGE GOLOK JUNGLE CAMP SURVIVAL KNIFE D2 STEEL STOCK APRIL 2019

Tanazacq's model " GOLOK". Jean Tanazcaq's GOLOK model is a re-designed version of the knife which initially originated from tribes in the Ural mountains, according to today's emerging Eurasian trend in recent times, which let Jean and son Nicolas to create a new collection entitled " Une Collection Transouralienne de Dagues et Couteaux," Transuralian Collection of Daggers and knives," which evolve as the previous one. The jungle knives,(Parang, Bolo, Golk, Dha) are indispensable for men on the ground who have to grapple with nature before facing the often hostile human contingencies. It is best suited to clear paths, forest roads, going through brambles, woody vines, shrubs, creepers, and many procumbent growth forms. Blade is 10-3/8" by 2 " wide of a hidden construction from 1/4" of D2 steel stock, which is a semi-stainless steel with high cutting power. The hunting and combat models that leaves his workshop are known with an unparalleled perfection in France and Europe.
Tanazacq designed it for those bushmen as he is more likely to understand the mindset of such people who buys and uses such specialized blades. Made fom 440-C steel stock with an over 1/4-inch thickness, and delivered with a unique satin-finished blade.  Some  knifemakers often do not know much about hunting and/or outdoor/camp knives knives and design theirs a bit at random or according to the criteria of fashion or trend, without worrying too much about the actual use. Also it is a well known fact that many collector select their knives with little understanding of a knife's utility, and purchase them on looks alone. They may be too long, too short or be horribly out of balance, but this matters little-they look beautiful! But, you can't always blame the makers, because the collectors often influence designs they come up with. Every knife made by Jean tanazcaq is a proven model that has been used extensively for decades as vouched by the fact that they are seen , carried and used worldwide by professioanl hunters or military personnel. An avid trapper, hunter himself for most of his lile, Jean knowns what works and what does not.
