SCARCE, LEVER ACTION MODEL 96 .22 MAGNUM CALIBER CARBINE, MADE 1996. These short-lived Rugers rarely turn up these days because, in my opinion, the owners like them and won’t let them go! I have one in the more common .22 LR and it is NOT for sale. The .22 Mag. was made in much smaller numbers and they rarely surface now. This example is in near new condition with only a few tiny handling marks in the wood. It is fitted with the factory supplied scope mounting rail on the receiver top and retains the original Lyman folding barrel sight with blade/bead front sight. Interestingly, this one has much better than standard wood and displays a nice, light fiddleback grain pattern throughout. No extra sling swivel holes etc., just a nice original and now very hard to find Ruger.
