Description:
Serial #17334 / 10574, .43 Egyptian, 35" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a second type rifle that has a Remington-made action with rotary extractor, and is profusely stamped at the breech with Arabic markings, including what looks to be an issue, or rack number: “3941". The metal has an overall dark brown patina with heavily rounded edges, and pinprick pitting throughout indicative of fairly hard use. Nevertheless, the bore is nearly immaculate, so while it was used hard, it was maintained well. The wood is likewise well worn, and has numerous small handling marks and minor blemishes scattered about the added varnish finish. The action is fully functional, and the original ramrod is included. This is an about good-good plus example overall. Antique
