**Sale Pending** James Purdey & Sons Best Sidelock Ejector, 20 Bore, 5 lbs. 11 oz., self-opening sidelock case hardened action hand engraved with Purdey house rose and scroll pattern, action bottom engraved "J Purdey & Sons, London, England", disc set strikers, cocking indicators, single trigger, automatic safety with "Safe" in gold, 26" chopper lump barrels with narrow hand file cut raised rib, choked .006 IC and .018 IM, ejectors, 3 1/4 TONS nitro proof for 2 3/4" chambers and .615 bores, barrel tubes engraved "J Purdey & Sons" on left and "Audley House, South Audley Street, London, England" on right, very nicely figured walnut stock with English Prince-of Wales grip, semi-beavertail forend, drop points, 14 1/2" LOP over a checkered butt, 1 1/2" DAC, 2 1/16" DAH, neutral cast with no toe twist. Excellent condition showing little use or handling, action tight, ejectors timed, barrels ring like church bells, bores measure dead on .615 both just as they were proved, barrel wall thickness untouched at .032 on both. Made in 1968. A very lightweight, lively bird gun. A perfect quail gun.
