Description:
Sharps and Hankins patent 1859 52 cal. Navy carbine 24" barrel. No leather sleeve for barrel. frosted barrel but good rifling. Mechanically very crisp. Brass butt plate with hole.Rear sight has all parts.
There is a crack on both sides of butt stock. Some sort of finish was added to the metal to protect the metal,no clue what it is but has preserved the gun.Crack on right side of butt stock starts at receiver, crack on left starts at the rear left of the upper tang. Has lug under barrel to attach leather sleeve. Complete other than leather barrel sleave and sling.
