I am reducing the size of my Combo Gun Collection and am offering several fine examples of German Quality. I have collected these guns over the last 40 plus years. These guns were purchased by me while stationed in Germany. Many of these models were not offered for sale in the US. Most are different configurations of the models that were offered. The following is one of these guns now for sale as my son has informed me he does not desire to carry on my collection. He asked me to sell them as he has no idea how to sell them.
Maker: Merkel Model: 201e Caliber: 12/70 Serial Nr.: 67953 LOP: 14 1/2in. Weight: 6 lbs. 12 oz. Barrel Length: 28 in. Overal Length: 44 5/8 in. Choke:Mod & Imp. Extras: Deep Animal Engraving. Fox & Pheasants on the left and Ducks on the right. Description: This Merkel 201E from 1967 is a fine example. It is clear of dents and scatches and bluing is in great shape. Bore has mirror finish. This Merkel is from the good old days when the quality was sound. It has not seen much use. It has been stored in my safe and only taken out to oil the metal and stock for the last 30 or so years.
This is truly a great value for a investment or just a beautiful gun to hunt with.
This is a fine example of a Merkel 201E. It will definitely make some collector and shooter very happy.
