Description:
Here is an item for the beginning collector or black powder SAA shooter. This 45 cal SAA with traces of original blue, wears a blend of patina and metal finish. No deep pitting. SN 197,554 was manufactured in 1900, duing the transitional period between black powder and smokless powder, and sports a 4 3/4" barrel and 1st gen rubber grips. This SAA shows wear, but has not been buffed or refinished, choosing instead to reflect a long history of use. A little bit of chatter underneath the barrel. Screws are in good condition. All edges are still sharp and clean. The barrel address & caliber marking, and patent dates are slightly worn but still strong. The rampant Colt is partially strong. Matching sn's on frame triggerguard and backstrap. At some point in time someone carved the initials "AH" on the bottom side of one grip.
A non firing 3 day inspection and return is provided, with buyer paying return shipping costs.
