U.S. Springfield Model 1892 Krag .30-40 Krag caliber rifle. Receiver is dated 1894, showing the 1896 updates. The cleaning rod slot has been filled. Metal is gray patina. Stock is good, does show handling wear and a small crack is noted at the bottom of the magazine toward the bolt. Bore is bright and shinny! Rifle also has a sharp 1895 cartouche. Overall a great looking early Krag rifle.
