Description:
This is a beautiful original World War 2 production P-38 9mm pistol made by the famous Walther firm in 1944. Coded "ac 44" (Walther's wartime code was "ac"), this pistol has been well cared for and has beautiful original factory blue finish and a flat mint bore. This pistol is all-matching, with all the factory stamped & numbered parts matching, and has a beautiful set of original red-brown Bakelite grips on it in excellent condition. All of the controls are in perfect working order including the de-cocker/safety lever, and the slide to frame fit is superb. While this gun shows a tiny bit of finish wear on the grip strap and a little high edge wear, the original blue finish rates 98%. All of the Waffenamts and factory markings are crisp and clean. The original grips are free from any cracks, chips, or repairs, and fit the pistol perfectly. As mentioned earlier, this Walther has a mint bore that is mirror-bright with perfect rifling and no pitting, erosion, or visible imperfections whatsoever. This Walther P-38 comes with the original magazine which is also in excellent condition. As you can see from the pictures, the spine of the magazine is marked with an "Eagle 359" Waffenamt which denotes the Walther firm. If you have been looking for a "collector grade" Nazi P-38 pistol for your collection, this beautiful AC44 example would be an excellent choice.
